Our final outcome for our 'Amazing Asia' learning was to create an Indian Inspired performance based on Year Three's Bollywood Dancing. We also took inspiration from 'Jai Ho'. We presented our musical performance in our Indian Jungle themed area.
In our Dance unit, we choreographed a group dance that portrays the routines and emotions of a day at school! The final performance is made up of different sections, such as entering the classroom, doing activities within the classroom and so on. Working in small groups, we explored, improvised and combined movement ideas to create a dance phrase for each section. We also used our chairs imaginatively as props (don’t worry – we used them safely!) We really enjoyed making our video!

As part of Parliament Week in school, we decided to make a campaign video! Our campaign was for the other schools in Blackburn with Darwen to have a separate sports uniform like we do. We thought about the actions that we would carry out if we were doing a real campaign, including visiting schools, speaking to headteachers and promoting the benefits of wearing a separate sports uniform. We hope you enjoy our video...we enjoyed making it! (Please note: it was VERY windy when we were filming outside!)
